“Working with Dave at Dirks Custom Wood and Steel was a seamless experience. I wanted a desk that was functional for my current space and boasted quality. I sent him some ideas that I found online, we talked them over and selected one, and he got to work designing one that fit my space and needs. Not only is it functional for my current space (up against the wall), but he had the foresight to construct the backside of the desk so that in a future space it would look great as a standalone desk if it’s ever not against a wall. He sourced a black walnut top with some unique grain, and he used the live edge to make a matching shelf above the desk. The whole setup turned out great and it’ll be a desk I have for years to come. I’d recommend working with Dave to anyone seeking custom craftsmanship and high quality materials.”

He is an excellent craftsman and offers unique designs for your home that you won’t find in any furniture store. From then we started the design and picking the wood out, and if you’re not very educated on the different types of wood and ways steel works no worries because he’s one of the smartest guys I know when it comes to this stuff. Seeing the finished product makes you realize how much time and dedication he puts into these projects.
